About Favor Care

Favor Care is the community care arm of Favor Church based in Manila, Philippines. Favor Care exists to develop and fund projects for the marginalised that address issues such as homelessness, hunger, poverty, and a lack of access to education. The vision of Favor Care is to create a better future by giving hope and opportunities to those who are trapped in underprivileged circumstances beyond their control.

We are passionate about our existing areas of focus. This will only grow as we establish and fund more projects that are within the scope of our vision. Our desire is to support communities by addressing the needs of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, domestic violence, human trafficking, and education.
Through providing educational opportunities for under-resourced kids in less fortunate communities, we can help improve their well-being, build their self-esteem, and stir hope for a brighter future.
Every week, Favor Church has weekly Sunday services at the Correctional Institution for Women, a prison in Mandaluyong (just a few minutes from Favor Church Manila). We disciple these women and give them an opportunity to know and learn more about Jesus. For those released from prison, we help provide livelihood opportunities and a support network of people who can assist them and their families as they integrate back into society.
Unfortunately, natural disasters — such as typhoons — are all-too-common in the Philippines.. Disaster victims need immediate help, so we are committed to providing quick, prompt relief responses to help people recover from the initial shock of a natural disaster.

Redemptio is Favor’s school based in Taytay, Rizal—a community just outside of Manila, Philippines! Redemptio provides schooling for underprivileged children who otherwise would never have been able to go to school.

We believe that we can change a generation and a nation through education because education breaks the cycle of poverty. Our goal is not just to provide a quality education—our heart is to create a brighter future for the youth of the Philippines and their families, by breaking dysfunctional patterns and mindsets that come from being stuck in poverty.

What can I do to help?

1) Pray

The work of Favor Care is constantly growing and evolving in the Philippines—so one of the best ways we can support what’s happening is to pray. Pray for our staff and volunteers on the ground who are doing the work, for financial increase which enables more projects to be funded, and for opportunities to have influence in communities across Manila and the Philippines.

2) Give

The work of Favor Care is not possible without the generous support of many people and businesses. Find information below on giving to Favor Care in AUD or USD. Tax deductible giving is available.

3) Go

In 2024, our Brisbane family is heading to Favor Conference 2024. On one of our free days, we’ll be visiting Redemptio Christian School. We’d love to have you with us! Find out more about Favor Conference here.
